For anyone in Maine interested in starting a business, there are few better places to turn than the four-day event known as Startup Maine Week. It gets underway today and runs through May 21.
The conference, which is held in Portland, attracts hundreds of business creators and investors. Speakers from outside Maine who have national reputations will share their experiences and visions, talking about the right moves they made in getting a business off the ground and the mistakes that provided hard-earned wisdom.
