Startup Maine is excited to partner with Jensen Baird for a quarterly breakfast series: Bringing Women to the (Cap) Table.
This series is for women, those who identify as women, and non-binary community members who are curious about investing in startups or looking to better understand Maine’s startup ecosystem. Anyone interested in investing, currently investing, or founders themselves are welcome to be part of the conversation about how investment dollars are spent in Maine.
This breakfast’s topic is Navigating Term Sheets. A term sheet outlines the key terms of a startup’s financing — join us to learn how to read one and negotiate deal terms. Our goal is for every attendee to walk away with enough context to read a term sheet, and to have made at least one new connection.

9:30–10:00 AM: Networking – connect with founders on specific topics like valuation caps and the negotiating process
