What We Do

Since 2018, Startup Maine has served as the convener and champion for the state’s startup community. Every year, we connect over 800+ members of our community, from founders, teams, investors, and partners, at our annual conference — Startup Maine Week. Through our newsletter and networking events, we serve a greater community of over 5,000, providing opportunities for collaboration, mentorship and growth.

What is Startup Maine?

Startup Maine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Maine’s startup ecosystem. We serve as a convener, resource hub, and champion for founders, partners, and supporters across the state.

Startup Maine welcomes everyone – from founders to the startup-curious! Founders and their team, investors, industry partners, and local, regional, or national organizations are all welcome. Whether you want to join our newsletter, attend events, speak at Startup Maine Week, or become a sponsor, there are many ways to get involved.

Startup Maine Week is our annual conference, bringing together founders, startup teams, investors, partners, and the startup-curious from across the state to learn, collaborate, and move Maine’s startup ecosystem forward. This year, SMW 2026 will be held from May 18-21, 2026! Learn more on the dedicated conference page below.

For those new to Startup Maine, we highly recommend subscribing to our newsletter list to get the latest events, news, and announcements straight to your inbox! If you’re hoping to get involved on a partnership or sponsorship level, please reach out to us directly at hello@startupmaine.org.
