Chuck Donnelly is the cofounder-CEO of Maine Startup, RockStep Solutions, a company focused on integrating emergent technologies into information systems for biomedical research. Prior to RockStep, Chuck was the Director of Computational Sciences at the Jackson Laboratory (JAX).
For the past 25 years, Chuck has led innovative technology development teams at JAX and UC Berkeley (UCB) with funding from both NIH and NASA. He is currently the principal investigator on a recently awarded innovation grant from the NIH to develop a next generation information system for animal model research. Chuck has lectured around the world and published articles related to novel algorithms for signal detection in radio astronomy and innovative informatics systems for biomedical research. RockStep Solutions recently released a platform for animal model research information management called Climb™. Climb provides the framework on which the company is building advanced tools for bio medical research data and laboratory operations for today and the laboratory of the future.
